Join us in The Lumber Barn at Thorndike Mill and Meeting place for an afternoon of music and tapas in a truly unique setting. The barn dates back to the late 1800s, and offers a wonderful environment to share music. We’ll be presenting a mix of old and new material (both our own songs and covers) with an emphasis on our latest release, War is a Racket and Other Irrefutable Truths, a collection of anti-war, social justice, and labour rights songs.

Coming all the way from Quebec, Canada, in celebration of Canada Day, The Co-Conspirators perform folk/singer-songwriter music with elements of bluegrass, country, blues, gospel, and general roots music. With heavy emphasis on vocal harmonies, this duo has been compared to The Weavers, Ian and Sylvia Tyson and Richard and Linda Thompson. They perform a perfect mix of originals, traditional folk, and old-time-favourites covers. Canadian folk music legend Valdy said they sounds like they have been singing together their whole lives. Described as modern day troubadours, The Co-Conspirators have spent the last 5 years performing at hundreds of house concerts, folk societies, festivals, seniors and community centres, bars, and restaurants across Canada, and are now spreading their wings to bring their songs to the US. The Co-Conspirators have released 4 albums to date, "Shadowing the Organ Tuner", "The Unreliable Narrators”, "Half a Tank of Gas and a Full Case of Beer", a Fred Eaglesmith tribute release in July 2023, and in January of 2025, "War is a Racket and Other Irrefutable Truths”
